Veranda at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas Debuts Sophisticated Refresh

Restyled restaurant is light, airy, reminiscent of an outdoor Italian

LAS VEGAS (September 12, 2014) - The restaurant’s interior closed in early September to undergo a $1 million refresh. The restyled space is light, airy and reminiscent of an outdoor Italian trattoria. In the interim, guests can enjoy breakfast and lunch on the expansive Veranda terrace and dinner at the adjacent Charlie Palmer Steak inside Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas.

“Everything guests love about Veranda – great Italian food, a warm, welcoming atmosphere and attentive service – will now be enjoyed in a stylish new setting,” says Mark Hellrung, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. “We are thrilled to re-introduce Veranda to our hotel guests and Las Vegas locals alike.”

Designed by Engstrom Design Group (EDG), the new space allows natural light from the outdoor terrace and surrounding garden to enhance warm, earth tone colors while materials such as textured leather and wood recall the sophisticated style of classic Italian design.

Upon entering the restaurant, guests are greeted with a sleek grouping of lounge chairs from the Italian born artist Harry Bertoia. Rich colors such as burnt orange contrast with the bright white textured leather of sleek bucket stools at the bar.  A center communal table that seats eight encourages family-style dining.

With the makeover also came a new name and logo. The restaurant's former name, Verandah, was updated slightly to Veranda (no h) Cucina Italiana. Veranda is an Italian term for a partially enclosed patio.

While Veranda will boast a new look and feel, Restaurant Chef Antonio Minichiello will continue to serve up fresh Italian specialties inspired by his childhood in Italy. A re-imagined menu will offer an even larger selection of handmade pastas and seasonal specialties from the restaurant’s wood-fired oven.

During the week, guests will continue to delight in Veranda’s power breakfast and lunch and a breakfast buffet on the weekends, which features a popular fresh donut machine and Bloody Mary bar. Additionally, a daily Happy Hour offers $7 appetizers, $7 cocktails and $7 wines by the glass daily.
